This is how it happens...

Arrival in Mauritius: After a long and probably tiring flight you will be happy to set foot on Mauritian ground. Immigration formalities are easy and straight forward. You will be requested to present your valid passport, your return ticket and the name and address of the Royal Mauritius villa which you have booked.

In the luggage belt lounge you will find a duty free shop. We suggest you buy your stock of alcoholic drinks here as duty free prices are substantially lower than those in the country's supermarkets.

Airport Transfer: Once you have left the airport building watch out for your drivers carrying your name board. They will take care of your luggage and lead you to the cars. Transfer to our villas in Grand Gaube will take about 1h30 and to the villas in Black River about 1 hour.

For reaching the Black River villas you have two options, the drive over the highway and the city of Quatre Bornes, or the more picturesque drive along the southern coast, which takes you about 15 minutes longer. Just tell the driver your preference.

Arrival at the villa: Our guest relations manager or the chef welcomes you at the villa and shows you around the house and the garden. The drivers will handle your luggage while you sip your welcome drink and enjoy some snacks. At a time convenient to you our guest relations manager will join you to discuss any relevant do’s and don’ts, answer any question you might have and provide you with local SIM cards for your cell phones.

Meet the staff: During your stay five persons are available to take away from you all the things you have not come for to Mauritius: they will do for you the shopping, prepare the meals, clean the house, do the beds, wash and iron your cloths and drive you around either by car or by boat. They are committed to make your stay with us what you expect it to be: an unforgettable dream holiday.

First shopping: Some time before your arrival our staff will contact you by mail to inquire about what you would like to find in the fridge on arrival.

First meals: Some days before your arrival we will contact you by mail to take your order for your first meal. This is also the time when you would inform us of  any special food restriction or eating preferences. Usually, on arrival, the chef will offer you a welcome drink and some snacks followed by a meal the consistency of which will depend on the time of the day and your preferences. Later the chef will discuss with you the menu for the following meals and handle the shopping.

Discover the neighborhood: In the afternoon of your arrival day or on the following morning your driver will take you for a quick discovery tour in the neighborhood so that you get a feeling for the immediate vicinity of your villa. The tour will take about one hour and will help you to locate the beaches, supermarkets, banks and post offices and the mooring place of your boat.
